Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, Inc.’s mission is to CONNECT, INFORM, ADVOCATE, and DEVELOP. As a membership organization, we are comprised of businesses throughout the Gulf South, and we strive to improve the business climate through fostering leadership, advocating for business, and providing information to the community. Our mission is accomplished through a partnership with the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce, Gulfport Chamber of Commerce, Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, and Pass Christian Chamber of Commerce. Additional divisions of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, Inc., include Coast Young Professionals, Leadership Gulf Coast, Coast Centurions Association, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Through these avenues, the chamber is able to utilize a vast network of business resources and partnerships to serve you, your business, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In 2014, the United States Chamber of Commerce awarded the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, Inc. with 4-Star Accreditation for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community. Out of 7,000 chambers nationwide, the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is in the top 3% and is the only accredited chamber in the state of Mississippi. 

Events and Programs

Annual Meeting is held in order to reflect on the year and to pass the gavel to the incoming Chair of the Board. Attendees hear the current State of the Chamber goals and plans for the New Year. The Pat Santucci “Spirit of the Coast” Award will be presented to a person who exemplified leadership. Annual Meeting serves as one of the Chamber’s most supported events and continues to sell out each year.

State of the County Address is an event held annually to provide attendees an informative forum of county accomplishments, concerns, issues and improvements.

Salute to the Military spotlights Mississippi military installations and the local commanders that represent them. The military presence along the Mississippi Gulf Coast has an impact of more than $2 billion on the area economy. Salute to the Military provides local businesses and the coastal community at large an annual opportunity to pay tribute to our military neighbors and to bring the nation's top military leaders to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This opportunity is used to demonstrate companies’ support for the military which is so vital to the economy and stability of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Thomas v. Fredian Award is also presented to one outstanding service man or woman in the community.

 Women Entrepreneurs (WE) is a forum for shared resources, knowledge, and experiences that allows attendees to create lasting connections over a lunch program. WE provides support, mentorship, and business advice to help businesses grow and prosper. Participants consist of diverse backgrounds, business knowledge, education, company size, and industry. Topics of presentation are determined by trends and needs of women entrepreneurs.

This event is held to network, develop business relationships, and to create leads. Attendees are given the opportunity to meet potential clients, learn more about new businesses, and enjoy breakfast with new contacts. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards to this program, and will be provided a lead sheet of participants.
 

Professional Development provides access to the most innovative and beneficial tools for success to the business communities in the geographical areas served. It is imperative for business to continue to have fast, effective, reliable and inexpensive training to retain and foster socioeconomic growth on the Mississippi Gulf Coast as well as attract and retain talent. This program will provide effective training by creating bodies of knowledge including: Leadership, Time Management, Social Networking, Team Building, Communications, Customer Service, Websites, Marketing, Networking, Human Resources, Business Plans. Companies can be involved in supporting the efforts of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce by aligning investments with the Professional Development Series and having a direct impact on the workforce.

 A program produced by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce to educate the business community on issues affecting them in conjunction with the current state of the national and local economies. It’s an ongoing forum educating individuals on issues of importance and involvement while providing attendees the tools for a call to action and held to improve understanding, knowledge and expectations within the business community on issues of importance in areas of state and local business, economic impact and long-term sustainability. Due to unclear, contradictory and fluid information, there is a need for education. The Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce is a nonpartisan agency with a vested interest in facilitating information to the community at large as it relates to community and business across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Allows attendees the opportunity to promote their businesses to a captive audience and make follow-up contacts in the same meeting. Participants can make their working lunches work for them. Programs will include speakers of interest to the business community. Attendance is approximately 50 per event.

Chamber After 5 provides valuable networking time for Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, Inc. members and potential members. The event is a great business to business activity that gives members and potential members the opportunity to meet and mingle in a relaxed environment.
This event is held once a month, and the event sponsor has the opportunity to showcase their business.

Legislative Briefing is a program produced to educate the business community on advocacy issues and  legislative activity. Local legislators are invited to sit on a panel and answer questions submitted by our membership regarding local issues and priorities.
