2010 Business Reform Legislative Proposals

The Legislature enacted, and the Governor signed, significant business reform legislation in 2009. The Secretary of State’s office again formed business reform study groups which have made recommendations for significant business reforms in 2010. The proposed legislation includes:
• Limited Liability Company Reform
• Uniform Commercial Code Revisions
• Registered Agents Act
• Fictitious Business Name Registration Act
• Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA)
• Principal and Income Act of 2010
• Qualified Disposition Act
• Trust Code of 2010
