Theme: Celebrating Peace, Justice, and Kindness Interested in including an art component to your homeschool planning? Our classes integrate clay projects with educational visual arts and mixed media projects that will help your kids to think creatively while developing critical thinking. February is the month of friendship and kindness to others, and our projects will focus on how to express solidarity and compassion through art. Students are encouraged to look up information about the period before class for inspiration. Tuition must be paid for the full four week session one week in advance of the first class. You may preregister with a $25.00 deposit to save a spot in the class session. Tuesday, February 6: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Winds of Solidarity: Make a Friendship Wind Chime Tuesday, February 20: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Throw Me Some Beads: Recycle Your Mardi Gras Beads Tuesday, February 27: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Symbols of Unity: Make an Adinka Printed Shirt The focus this month is to learn about values like empathy, responsibility, solidarity, justice, and respect. We will develop the following abilities and skills: teamwork, creative thinking, motor skills. Time: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Place: Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, Ceramics Studio Cost: $75 for 3 week session Level: Ages 7 and up Class Limit: Minimum 5 students per session, Maximum 15
