• Call Center Medical Assistant (CMA)

    What You’ll Be Doing:
    • Support both clinical and administrative staff member
    • Scheduling appointments
    • Ensuring all calls are documents on approved forms and in the Electronic Health Record (HER)
    • Working within the scope of your practice
    • Demonstrate competencies consistent with CMA knowledge and skills
    Skills and Qualifications:
    Graduate of recognized program designed for training MA’s
    • Certification by nationally recognized certifying body.  This includes American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the American Medical Technologists Agency (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) and the National Health Career Association (NHA)
    • Experience in primary care medical office practice, community health
    • Call Center or public health experience is preferred
    • Reliable transportation is necessary

    • Screens and process requests for information
    • Professional interacts with patients, providers, coworkers and general public
    • May be required to work beyond normal hours and in other positions as necessary
    • Schedules return patient appointments
    • Schedules new patient appointments
    • Explain patient chards
    • Explain medication refill policy
    • Other duties as required
