• GULFPORT CHAMBER HOSTS GULFPORT REPORTS FEATURING DR. JONATHAN WOODWARD & SUPERINTENDENT GLEN EAST

MS GULF COAST- Gulfport Superintendent Glen East and Executive Vice President of Teaching & Learning and Community Campus at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Dr. Jonathan Woodward will give an update on education at the Gulfport Chamber of Commerce’s Gulfport Reports February 13, 2019, at the Knight Nonprofit Center in Gulfport.

“We are so proud of our current partnerships with local high schools,” says Dr. Woodward. “We have gone to lengths to ensure that there is a smooth transition for our students from high school to community college and then onward to the market place, directly going to get a job or to a university.”

A robust relationship has developed between Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and the surrounding school districts- the collegiate academy. Students are able to receive their degree by the time they complete their senior year.

East says they are proud to have a great relationship with the community college. “This year we had our first group of high school graduates leave with a high school diploma and also an Associates Degree,” says East.
