We are located in the heart of Downtown Biloxi on Howard Avenue. Parking is available along the street as well as behind the building. Our facility is ADA accessible through the back door.

About Us

Founded in the 1980's, the Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum is dedicated to preserving the history of Carnival and the unique traditions stemming from the Coast's ever-growing revelry. While touring the museum, visitors journey back to the 17th century and beyond to discover how European exploration brought a beloved season to the Gulf Coast, planting the seed for the celebrations, music, and sweet treats ingrained in our culture.

Group tours are available with prior notice!

Our costume displays are sure to dazzle visitors!
We have a glittering collection of crowns and scepters worn by Mardi Gras royalty. Most are made by Dynasty Collections in Mobile, AL.

Patrons of all ages enjoy exploring our exhibition with this scavenger hunt!
Our Education Collection offers everyone a chance to dress up during their visit!
Among our growing programming is our storytelling, crafting, and creative play session, Royal Story Hour, led by Mardi Gras royalty and museum staff.
