Name: Explorations in Coastal Landscape
Date: May 19, 2018 - May 20, 2018
Event Description:
This 2-day workshop is for beginners to accomplished artists and is loosely based on painting seascapes inspired by the abundant Gulf Coast beaches and marshes. Students will learn fun and useful techniques for creating unique landscape paintings by using appropriate acrylic mediums for water, sand, and sky. Basic compositional skills that will help create depth and feeling in paintings will also be a focal point of this workshop. Working from photos or outdoors and experimentation with collage, mixed media and artist’s favorite supplies will be encouraged! Instructor Anne Cicero will include an overview of techniques, color advice and useful perspective drawing as it is related to painting realistic and abstract landscapes.
