    Behavioral Health Specialist I Job Code 9258

    Annual Salary: $36,624 or more based on experience

    Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday

    Position Description: This is professional work in administering diagnostic assessments in collecting behavioral data to appraise intelligence, memory, personality and other psychological functions to identify any mental health intervention needs and/or behavioral intervention needs. It also involves developing intervention strategies and ensuring the implementation of the strategies. Conducts individual, family and/or group therapy. Administers and interprets psychological tests and conducts clinical interviews. Assists in developing treatment plans and behavioral plans. Provides therapy for substance use, chronic stress, and trauma. Provides supervision to RL employees, demonstrate appropriate interaction with residents, and assist with de-escalation. Document and file in medical chart. Participates in staff training and meetings. All other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    Requires Master’s Degree in Psychology or a related field of study acceptable to the hiring agency, a minimum of 3 years of experience, and may require full licensure or certification (LPC, LMFT, LM/CSW, L/CMHT, L/CIDDT, L/CAT).
