    Open Doors Homeless Coalition is seeking applicants for the position of Data Lead for System Improvement. This position is responsible for maintaining the organization's data quality and integrity across all systems of the continuum of services. 

    Position Title: Data Lead for Systems Improvement
    Reports to: Executive Director     
     
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Complete rigorous one-on-one HMIS training with Foothold Technology (AWARDS) resulting in certification.
    • Manage and coordinate all activities related to maintaining and updating the By-Name Lists of persons experiencing homelessness for single adults, youth, families, and veterans for the MS-503 geography, covering the counties of Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, George, Stone and Pearl River in the State of Mississippi.
    • Research, interpret and prepare datasets, as requested. Assist on report preparation for local, state and national submissions like Annual Progress Reports (APR), Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), Longitudinal System Analysis (LSA), System Performance Measures (SysPM), and other custom reports.
    • Complete BFZ monthly reporting.
    • Liaison between partners engaged in outreach for the geography as well as between ODHC and all CoC, ESG, HOPWA, PATH, CHOICE, HOME-ARP, VASH, SSVF, GPD, EHV, MVP, and FUP-funded agencies, determining openings for each program on a regular basis.
    • Work directly with outreach and housing staff to reflect inflow and outflow with the system.
    • Meet regularly and work in partnership with the Director of Operations on HMIS data reliability and health.
    • Participate in webinars, demo and other presentations, as required, as well as yearly participation in NHSDC
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
     
    Minimum Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Demonstrated competency or previous related experience will be considered in lieu of 4-year degree requirement.
    • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in quantitative data analysis and/or research, particularly working with complex data and relational database structures.
    • Competency in Foothold Technology (AWARDS) HMIS preferred.
    • Report building skills and at ease working and navigating inside of a database.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products required, particularly with a demonstrable understanding of statistics paired with knowledge of analytical tools in Excel (formulas, statistical functions, etc.).
    • Ability to coordinate activities among stakeholders.
    • Ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders, partners, and potential funders.
    • Ability to present ideas effectively orally and in writing.
    • Attention to detail and self-motivation to deliver quality work.
    • Tenacity and thoroughness, with the ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
    • Deadline and solutions oriented with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
    • Strong time management skills.
    • Ability to work with CoC project staff from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
    • A high level of resiliency, professionalism, and understanding of professional/personal boundaries.
    • U.S. Citizen or permanent residency, or proof of work eligibility is required.
    • Valid Mississippi Driver’s License and proof of insurance is required.
