Position Overview:
The Box Office Manager oversees all ticketing operations for events at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center, ensuring accurate event setup, financial accountability, and exceptional customer service. This role leads box office staff, manages day-to-day operations, and serves as the primary liaison between promoters, Ticketmaster, and internal departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversee all box office operations for events, including ticket sales, event setup, and settlement processes.
- Manage and execute ticket builds and event configurations within the Ticketmaster system.
- Coordinate with promoters, clients, and Ticketmaster representatives on scaling, pricing, and inventory.
- Create event builds prior to on-sale dates.
- Maintain events throughout the sales cycle including holds and pricing updates.
- Prepare ticket sales reports and financial settlements.
- Supervise and train full-time and part-time box office staff.
- Manage payroll and scheduling for ticketing staff.
- Oversee cash handling, deposits, and financial reconciliation.
- Serve as Manager on Duty for assigned events.
- Resolve customer service issues and ticketing problems professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
-Full-time position requiring flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of ticketing experience in entertainment or sports venues.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or management experience.
- Experience with Ticketmaster systems (Host & TM1 platform).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred.
- Valid State Driver License.
